In this episode of English Breakfast – the intercultural radio magazine, we take a closer look at the Sustainability Group “Live the Change!” and the people, ideas and initiatives behind it.
We explore the motivation behind the group and its commitment to making sustainability more tangible through community, education and everyday action.
We also join the group on a visit to the Weltladen, featuring original audio recordings from Agathe of the Globales Klassenzimmer. Along the way, we discover the stories behind different products and the people connected to them:
🥭 Hadil talks about mangoes from the Philippines.
🎩 Juan introduces us to Toquilla hats from Ecuador.
☕ Max presents Rebellion Coffee from Mexico.
☕ Efdal Kurt from Café Campus talks about the importance of community building and adds another wonderful perspective to the programme.
We also look ahead to an upcoming event taking place at Café Campus during the Intercultural Weeks on 16 October 2026. The event will be open to the public and free of charge.
🎬 The evening will feature the film “Tomorrow”, a documentary film explores inspiring examples of people who are taking action in their communities and demonstrates that meaningful change can begin with small, committed groups of individuals.
And, of course, music plays an important role in the programme. The show is accompanied by music from the Philippines, Ecuador and Mexico, creating an international musical journey to complement the conversations and stories. 🎶🌎
