- 2 Corinthians 10 | Fear of God vs. Fear of Man | Jane Weber-Miller
As we continue in our 2 Corinthians series, we are reminded in chapter 10 that we do not walk according to the flesh. We can be so distracted by the things of the flesh, outward appearance and credentials, that we miss the opportunities to experience God’s divine power to destroy strongholds. We can fear man and what people think of us rather than fearing God and placing Him in His rightful position in our lives and families. Listen in to be encouraged about the power of God that can be at work in your life today.

33m - Sep 14, 2026 - 2 Corinthians 8 & 9 | God’s Abundance in Your Life | Kim West
Our amazing God became poor that we may be rich. He has abundantly given us everything we need for life and godliness. What is our response? How can we partner with God in the work He is doing in our lives and around the world? God wants to use us! Are we ready to be His vessels?
Today’s episode brings us to a place in 2 Corinthians where Paul is encouraging the church to be faithful to do what they said they would do, to be people of their word, and to be a part of God’s work. May we have ears to hear how God is leading us and be obedient to His call.

ABOUT OUR GUEST
In 1987, I heard Fern Nichols’ radio interview with Dr. James Dobson on Focus on the Family. From that moment, I knew that if God blessed us with children, I wanted to be part of Moms in Prayer (MIP). Eleven years later, in 1998, with two children in tow and having just moved to Hong Kong, I joined my first MIP group. My life was changed as I learned to focus my prayers on God’s character and His Word.
In 2001, after adopting our third child and moving from Asia to Arkansas, God faithfully connected me with another group of praying moms. I’ve been part of that wonderful community ever since. One scripture I often pray over our children and grandchildren is, “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith…” Ephesians 3:14–17a
Over the years, I’ve witnessed God pursue our children, strengthen them when they are weary, and call our children into full-time ministry and service. He is faithful—and we are called to be faithful in prayer, trusting Him to work in the lives of our children and grandchildren. I’ve learned there is no greater place to be than in His presence, interceding for the next generation and the places they live, learn, and work.

55m - Aug 31, 2026 - 2 Corinthians 6 & 7 | We Are Ambassadors for Christ | Laura Riley
It can be easy to just let life happen to us or feel like we are barely hanging on and just trying to get through each day. Yet, we are challenged to live intentionally, to walk in a way that is pleasing to God and to be used by Him. In 2 Corinthians 6 and 7, Paul encourages us to not receive the gift of salvation in vain, but to make the most of what we have been given and to share it with others. We get to reflect the grace of God to those around us and be ambassadors for Christ. Let us not waste the time we have been given. Listen in as we walk through these chapters with our Louisiana State Coordinator, Laura Riley.

ABOUT OUR GUEST
I first heard about Moms in Prayer on Focus on the Family in 1985 when I was just a teenager. I remember thinking that when I had children, I wanted to give my kids the gift of prayer. Fast forward 25 years, my sons were 10 and 12 and our family was going on a 5-week trip to Africa for my husband to teach at Uganda Baptist Seminary. I was asked to teach the women about parenting. The Lord impressed on me to not be afraid, to read the new book I had brought on the trip, Every Child Needs a Praying Mom by Fern Nichols, and to use that book to teach the four steps of prayer to the Ugandan moms. When I got home, I realized I couldn’t go to Africa and do something I wasn’t willing to do in my own town, so I started a Moms in Prayer group.
Whether our kids are in a private school, public school, or homeschool, we will be better parents when we are consistently praying with other women for our children.
It is wonderful to have other women praying over my children. I can look back at the prayer sheets and see that God has been faithful. God continues to shape my sons into the men of God He wants them to be. Now I pray not only for our two sons, but also our two daughters-in-law, and our two grandsons. God is faithful, generation after generation.

ABOUT OUR GUEST
My husband and I have served at a church in Central Maine that began in our home over 20 years ago. I first experienced Moms in Prayer (MIP) through the invitation of a friend. My four children were all still young and homeschooled at the time. Seeing the need to pray for them, I quickly gravitated to a MIP group and found encouragement and power through praying scripture.
My involvement in MIP has changed everything in our family and church life and I have witnessed the Lord do exceedingly abundantly more than I asked or thought. He has been faithful through one child’s prodigal season and I have seen Him work in each of my children’s lives to deepen their personal relationship with Him. Now I have the privilege of praying for my grandchildren as well.
One of my passions is to reach out to new moms and teach them the heart of prayer for their little ones. My hope is that my own journey will encourage other women to begin praying for their children while they are young and keep going, even when they have grandchildren.

ABOUT OUR GUEST
The first time I heard about Moms in Prayer was at Missions Day at my church. My local area coordinator had a table set up there. She wonderfully shared how we could gather as moms to pray for our children and schools, releasing the stress and anxious thoughts that burden us. So, I started a group right away with one other mom! God was faithful to bring others to pray with us for the schools in our area. And, it’s such a God thing that, in the following years, I was able to host that same Moms in Prayer table at my church, continuing to share the vision that all schools be covered in prayer!
My favorite Scripture verse and one I cling to, is Ephesians 3:20, “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us…”
I have been married to John since 2009 and we have two teenage boys, Cooper and Cade. We enjoy activities together in the “great outdoors” from the mountains to the coast!
SCRIPTURES
But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Galatians 5:22-23 NLT
Never let loyalty and kindness leave you!
Tie them around your neck as a reminder.
Write them deep within your heart. Proverbs 3:3 NLT

And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him. 1 John 5:14-15 ESV
“The day is coming,” says the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the people of Israel and Judah. This covenant will not be like the one I made with their ancestors when I took them by the hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt. They broke that covenant, though I loved them as a husband loves his wife,” says the Lord. “But this is the new covenant I will make with the people of Israel after those days,” says the Lord. “I will put my instructions deep within them, and I will write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. Jeremiah 31:31-33 NLT
And this is the way to have eternal life—to know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth. I brought glory to you here on earth by completing the work you gave me to do. Now, Father, bring me into the glory we shared before the world began. John 17:3-5 NLT
Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4 NLT

ABOUT OUR GUEST
When our daughter turned five, I found myself anxious about her starting kindergarten. Around that time, I read a book about Moms in Prayer International, and it deeply resonated with me. Just days later, I saw a friend while shopping and to my surprise, she had read the same book! Right then and there we decided to start a Moms in Prayer group together.
Through Moms in Prayer, I began—and continue—to learn how to surrender my fears and worries, letting God replace them with His peace and comfort. Now years later, meeting weekly with my Moms in Prayer group remains one of the most meaningful and powerful things I do as a mom.
My husband and I live in Des Moines, Iowa. We’re blessed with a daughter, and a son and daughter-in-law, who also live nearby.
SCRIPTURES
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9 ESV
It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8 ESV

“The enemy of our souls wants us to believe that we know what is best, so we don’t seek out what God has said is actually best.” Elizabeth Urbanowicz, CEO of Foundation Worldview, helps guide us as Christian parents to teach our children truth from the Word of God. The world and the opinion of man can be very loud. We can feel pressure to raise “perfect children”, but the best thing we can do is to raise our kids in a way that honors and glorifies God. Listen in to learn how!

ABOUT OUR GUEST
Elizabeth Urbanowicz is a follower of Jesus Christ and passionate about equipping kids to understand the truth of the Christian worldview. She holds a B.S. in Elementary Education and Spanish, an M.S.Ed in Literacy Education, and an M.A. in Christian Apologetics from Biola University. Elizabeth began her professional career as an elementary teacher in a Christian school. Several years into her teaching experience, she realized that despite being raised in Christian homes, attending a Christian school, and being active in church, her students thought more like the culture than like Christ. She created curricular materials that would equip her students to think critically, helping them discover that Christianity is the worldview that lines up with reality. Elizabeth now works full-time on developing comparative worldview and apologetics resources for children. Her goal is to prepare the next generation to be lifelong critical thinkers and, most importantly, lifelong disciples of Jesus Christ.

“I am so thankful for my daughter’s prodigal years. ABOUT OUR GUESTS
Karla Slonaker
Moms in Prayer was introduced to me 33 years ago at an informational meeting for moms of elementary school children. As I learned about MIP, I knew God was drawing me to prayer. I have benefited in so many ways, including learning the character of God and how to pray; having sincere, available prayer support, and experiencing hope and blessing while raising a prodigal teenager. Proverbs 3:5-6 is so true…”trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” Now this daughter, Jaclyn, prays in a MIP group for her children and serves the ministry in her area and on our state team.
My husband Fred and I have been married for 41 years. We have three adult children with spouses and nine grandchildren. We raised our family in Wenatchee, Washington and now live near them all in Meridian, Idaho. I heard God’s Spirit call me in March 2023 to serve the women of Idaho as State Coordinator for MIP. It is a huge blessing to support, train, develop leadership across this state as we pray and fast for the salvation of students. In addition to prayer ministry, I mentor young women of all ages and enjoy a variety of crafting projects.
Jaclyn St. John
I live in Meridian, Idaho with my husband, Cody and our children, Chloe (10) and Jaxon (7), plus two dogs and a cat! By profession, I am a Registered Dietitian with Dairy West but my most meaningful roles are as a devoted daughter, wife, sister, granddaughter, aunt, and friend who deeply values the people God has placed in my life.
I have a passion for health and wellness that carries into both my professional work and everyday life. I enjoy nourishing others through nutritious food, healthy living, and spending quality time with family. Through laughter, movement and shared meals, I believe in celebrating life’s blessings and caring well for the people around me. It has been my privilege the last three years to serve Moms in Prayer Idaho alongside my mom, Karla Slonaker. Sharing our story of spiritual death to spiritual life has been a joy. She is my best friend!
SCRIPTURES
Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts. Zechariah 4:6b ESV
“Arise, cry out in the night,
at the beginning of the night watches!
Pour out your heart like water
before the presence of the Lord!
Lift your hands to him
for the lives of your children,
who faint for hunger
at the head of every street.” Lamentations 2:19 ESV
Train up a child in the way he should go;
even when he is old he will not depart from it. Proverbs 22:6 ESV
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Matthew 18:20 ESV
Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Romans 8:34 ESV
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:8-10 ESV
Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. Romans 5:3-5 ESV

“We have emotions because we are made in the image of God and God has emotions.” Cyndie reminds us that not only did God give us emotions, but He wants us to talk to Him about those emotions—to pour out our hearts like water to Him. We aren’t to let our emotions run wild and rule us, but we should instead be guided by the Word of God. Listen in to hear what Scripture says about emotions and also receive practical tools on how to process them.

ABOUT OUR GUEST
In 1994, I was a young mother of three boys and pregnant with my fourth, when my mom bought me the Moms in Prayer Booklet. I was in a stage of life where I would have protected my children from everything if I could, but I quickly discovered that was impossible. As I started praying in a Moms in Prayer group, my relationship with the Lord began to take shape. I went from knowing about Him, to really trusting Him, His name, and His character. Praying together with other moms not only taught me how to pray, but how to let go of all I wanted to control and to trust God—His word, His work, His provision, and His plans.
My husband Tom and I have been married for 41 years and we live in Deshler, Ohio. We have been blessed with four sons, two beautiful daughter-in-loves and five adorable grandchildren. I have been a part of Moms in Prayer for over 30 years. I served as the State Coordinator for Ohio from 2015-2022. I currently serve as the Great Lakes Division Coordinator, which include Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin.
SCRIPTURES
The heart of man plans his way,
but the Lord establishes his steps. Proverbs 16:9 ESV
“Death is swallowed up in victory.”
“O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?” 1 Corinthians 15:55 ESV
You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies; Psalm 23:5a ESV
Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12 ESV
If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done. God’s ways are as mysterious as the pathway of the wind and as the manner in which a human spirit is infused into the little body of a baby while it is yet in its mother’s womb. Keep on sowing your seed, for you never know which will grow—perhaps it all will. Ecclesiastes 11:4-6 TLB
I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living. Psalm 27:13 NKJV
Tackle every task that comes along, and if you fear God, you can expect his blessing. Ecclesiastes 7:18 TLB

44m - Feb 16, 2026 - 1 Corinthians 15 | Victorious in Motherhood | Sally Burke
“Every day we get an opportunity to say to God, ‘Here I am. I am Your vessel. How can I live for you?’ We have a choice. Are we going to live for the world? Or are we going to live for God?” Life with God is full of joy, peace and love! Moms in Prayer President, Sally Burke, joins us again to talk through 1 Corinthians 15, the chapter where our theme “Victorious” comes from. We CAN be victorious in life and in motherhood because of the truth of the gospel and because God is with us!

ABOUT OUR GUEST
Sally Burke’s introduction to the ministry in 1990 was life changing. Compelled by joy and the hope God gave as she prayed with others for her children and their schools, Sally began to reach out and share with other moms—first as a Moms in Prayer group leader, then area coordinator for her hometown of Temecula, California, and later as regional coordinator for Riverside County. In 2008, Sally became the Director of Field Ministry at Moms in Prayer headquarters, overseeing ministry expansion worldwide. Today, in her role as President of Moms in Prayer International, her vision remains unchanged, that more children and schools and moms might experience God’s life-changing answers to prayer. Sally is also an international speaker, teacher and author of Raise Them Up, Start with Praise, Unshaken and the Unshaken Study Guide.
As a child growing up in Florida, Sally was fascinated with the space program and began her career as a space shuttle engineer with a Master of Science in Management. After her marriage and the birth of two children, Sally and her husband came to faith in Christ, and Moms in Prayer soon became a top priority. She and husband, Ed, now have four grown children, two sons-in-law, two daughters-in-law and five grandchildren. In her leisure time, you’ll find Sally on a walk/run, curled up with a good book or enjoying the company of friends.

“Arise, cry out in the night,
at the beginning of the night watches!
Pour out your heart like water
before the presence of the Lord!
Lift your hands to him
for the lives of your children,
who faint for hunger
at the head of every street.” Lamentations 2:19 ESV
In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, Ephesians 1:13 ESV
He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, Ecclesiastes 3:11a ESV
Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38 ESV

36m - Feb 2, 2026 - 1 Corinthians 14 | Victorious in Motherhood | Heidi Fromke
“Whatever our gifts are, we need to use them to build up others and point them to Christ so they can know Him and He can receive the glory.” Heidi Fromke, our Appalachian Division Coordinator, joins us on the podcast today to talk through 1 Corinthians 14. She reminds us of the importance of using our God given gifts for encouraging and building up the church. In our flesh, it is easy to fall into the trap of wanting to make ourselves look good and impress others with what we can do, but God can use us in far greater ways when we live our lives for His glory.

ABOUT OUR GUEST
Learning to hold her kids loosely and trust God with them is a daily challenge which Heidi found to be especially true when her boys were just beginning school. It was during this time of trying to “let go” a bit that she found Moms in Prayer after hearing Moms in Prayer Founder, Fern Nichols, on the radio.
The Lord encouraged her to start a Moms in Prayer group at her sons’ school in 2003. She prayed with this group of moms for 17 years. They joined her in covering her boys, their kids and their school community. They lifted their requests to God and saw Him do immeasurably more than they could ask or imagine as He walked with them through a son’s illness, Young Life established at the school, and students’ hearts turned to Christ. Heidi has come to know the Lord in an amazingly intimate way as He has shown her His love for her boys and that He truly can be trusted above all else.
She has been married to Mark, who has filled her days with laughter since 1990. They have three boys in their twenties, two amazing daughters-in-law and two grandsons! After growing up in Minnesota and spending a few years in St. Louis, they have fallen in love with North Carolina. Heidi is looking forward to watching God work as He draws other moms to experience His power, grace and loving acceptance through prayer!
SCRIPTURES
we hear them telling in our own tongues the mighty works of God.” Acts 2:11b ESV
Nevertheless, we have not made use of this right, but we endure anything rather than put an obstacle in the way of the gospel of Christ. 1 Corinthians 9:12b ESV
For by people of strange lips
and with a foreign tongue
the Lord will speak to this people, Isaiah 28:11 ESV

50m - Jan 19, 2026 - 1 Corinthians 13 | Victorious in Motherhood | Robin Elliott
“Because of His love and Jesus’ sacrifice for us, we will fully know Him and worship Him forever.” Because of God’s great love, He sent His Son so we could be in His presence for all eternity. And His love is an example to us of how we are to love others.
Today on the podcast, our United States Country Coordinator, Robin Elliott, joins us on the podcast to talk through 1 Corinthians 13, the love chapter. As followers of Christ, we are called to love others. And it may not be with the kind of love you think. Listen in to hear how God calls each of us to love those around us.

ABOUT OUR GUEST
Robin has been married to her husband, John, since 1986. When their oldest started school, she heard about Moms in Prayer on the radio and joined a group for the local school. That was the beginning of an amazing journey which has led from Minnesota to Idaho and from a group member into leadership. Robin currently serves as USA Country Coordinator.
Through Moms in Prayer, she has learned that one hour a week can put the rest of the week’s activities into perspective. Over and over, God has multiplied her time when she put Him first. She would love for each woman to have that same experience. Robin has found that when she gets busy and becomes distracted, it is easy to lose perspective and move ahead in her own strength. But when she sets aside weekly time to pray with others in a Moms in Prayer group, her focus on who God is and what God has done gives her all she needs to handle every situation she faces. 2 Samuel 22:33 reminds us that “It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.”
SCRIPTURES
For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way? 1 Corinthians 3:3 ESV
Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Romans 12:15 ESV
Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Romans 12:9 ESV
Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, 1 Peter 5:6 ESV
