Ep.41 - Representations of women in film and television

In this episode we continue our conversation about the representation of femininity and masculinity in film and TV. This time, we discuss the different categories that women and girls are often placed in, such as “the cool girl,” “the femme fatale” and “the smart girl.” 

We question what is missing from these narratives and think of ways we can create characters that have more depth and strength that goes beyond muscles. We also give some examples of shows that are doing a good job of creating complex female characters. So, we wonder, which one is your favorite?
