EP004 — The Omen from the German Trade Fair | “Perseverance transforming to Small Exceeding”

15m | Oct 26, 2025

When John returned from Germany, he carried a bag full of trade show materials — but his eyes looked a little empty.

EMO Hannover 2025 — the world’s largest machine tool exhibition.

Booths everywhere, stacks of business cards, endless handshakes and toasts.

He smiled through it all. But back in Taiwan, a quiet doubt began to surface:

“Can all these interactions really turn into results?”

The hexagram he drew was Perseverance transforming to Small Exceeding (恆之小過).

It seemed to whisper:

“Don’t rush to bloom — strengthen your roots first.”

“Perseverance” taught him steadiness —

patience, consistency, the slow growth of trust.

“Small Exceeding” reminded him to stay flexible —

that real breakthroughs often come not from grand moves,

but from a casual chat after dinner, or a small correction in detail.

When timing arrives, precision matters more than speed.

So he began to tidy his contact list, refine the technical documents,

improve the prototype display.

Each small act became a seed.

A few weeks later, a short message from a German client arrived:

“We’d like to discuss further.”

No fireworks — but in that quiet moment, John smiled.

Sometimes fate moves just like that:

Not with thunderous turning points,

but in the subtle moment when persistence and detail quietly fall in sync.
