- 5 Perspectives on a Hot Mess Of Gender Soup w/ Paige Field S1E001- Hyperfixated in the Miscalaireomm
Gender isn't a box. It's a gooey ball. A hot mess of soup. And on this episode, two cousins grab spoons.
Spencer Field (autistic, they/them) and second cousin Paige Field (he/she) hyperfixate on the lived experience of gender—five perspectives, from the inside out. They're neurodivergent, queer, Midwestern, and raised evangelical, which means they've done the unglamorous years of deprogramming and have the journals (and the tears, and the jokes) to prove it. Expect stories, insights, and an indecent number of genuine "aha" moments.
The five lenses:
1 · Self-perception — your gender from the inside. Sometimes a zero. Sometimes a hard seven. Spencer feels into the "gender hole" and finds not neutrality but an active void.
2 · Social scripts — the two-character video game you were handed at birth, and what happens when you crash into it as Dora the Explorer in a war zone.
3 · Presentation — the gap between how you feel and how you're read (including getting clocked as a cis white man in the queer bar). Featuring one formative Jonathan Van Ness sighting.
4 · Peripheral perspective adjustments — bodies as gloves you're allowed to alter, no moral weight attached. Plus why Spencer doesn't call themselves transgender.
5 · Dysphoria & euphoria — the dress Paige bought while wearing it… and the high that never came back down.
No conclusions. No hot takes sold as gospel. Just two people who think out loud for a living, doing it on mic.
🎧 New here? This is the beta drop (Episode 001) from the Miscalaireomm.
⚠️ Explicit: strong language and frank talk about sex and bodies.
Special thanks to Jonathan Van Ness for breaking our gender paradigm.
