navigating ADHD as women in our 20s with Maddie Hirn | ep. 51
1h 30m | Jul 18, 2024Morgan is back with another guest & this time it's a childhood friend of hers -- Maddie Hirn! She's in Minneapolis for the weekend for work & finally is having the chance to catch up with Maddie after 3 years apart!! After a recent breakthrough with her therapist about ADHD & Maddie's diagnosis of it last summer, they knew they wanted to do a wholeeee deep dive into what it's like to have ADHD as a woman in her 20s.
Buckle up because this is a longgggg one!!
Both Morgan & Maddie were always high performing students, athletes, volunteers, employees, and everything in between. One look at them growing up would never make you think they had ADHD. But after a lot of research, therapy, reflection, & honesty, they've both realized how much they've been unnecessarily struggling with work & school their whole lives -- all thanks to ADHD.
They talk about their experiences with ADHD, their symptoms, what it's like to date someone with ADHD & how to be a supportive partner through it all, how debilitating it can be, and so much more.
Whether or not you have ADHD, this episode is a must-listen. It's likely you have at least one person in your life that's struggling with this, even if they've not been diagnosed yet. It's not all fun and games to be forgetful & organized, it's truly exhausting.
So we hope this sheds some light on the reality of having ADHD & going undiagnosed for so many years!!
