Bay opens up about becoming more serious about music after his father was incarcerated, making pain music, building momentum in New York, working with artists like Lil Durk, G Herbo and Rich The Kid, and repeatedly getting close to his breakthrough without completely getting over the hump.

Eventually, that momentum led to a deal with Interscope Records around 2018. But what Bay thought would take his career to another level instead became another setback when the A&R who believed in him left the company shortly after he signed.
