Joining us for the hour is retired history professor Art Burton. He is also is the the biographer of frontier Marshal Bass Reeves. Art has a number of books out about African-American cowboys, lawmen and outlaws availble <a href="https://www.artburton.com/" rel="nofollow">here</a>. We talked about how Bass Reeves may have been the basis for the Lone Ranger radio and television series.

This show is all about historic preservation. Bill Bailey joins us to talk about why it&#39;s important to preserve the history we have. He worked on a number of projects including the Kit Carson House in Taos, NM. He also built and captained a keelboat and sailed it down the Missouri River. He&#39;s also does living history as a mountain man.

Dave Kennedy from the U.S. Marshals Museum joins us to talk about this new museum dedicated to telling the stories of the U.S. Marshals. It&#39;s located at Fort Smith, Arkansas.
