  • Ivey League: Harris knew Ole Miss was ‘different,’ now helping lead ’24 title chase

Tre Harris’ phone didn’t ring for about two hours once his name hit the NCAA Transfer Portal last off-season. However, the floodgates opened once the first call came in.

Harris, then a transfer wide receiver from Louisiana Tech, could have gone anywhere. He ultimately chose Ole Miss over Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Penn State.

“I came here, it was just different,” Harris said, in a sit-down with his Rebel teammate, Jared Ivey, for this week’s all-new episode of the ‘Ivey League.’

The ‘Ivey League’ is presented by RiverLand Roofing and exclusively associated with, and distributed by, the Ole Miss Spirit

Harris continued, “I felt like the entire program was different, the mindset. Whenever I was making my decision, I wanted to go somewhere where they had a (quarterback) and I could come in and be a guy right away.

“All the things pretty much aligned perfectly and pointed to Ole Miss for me.”

  • The Flagship: 2025 NFL Draft could be coronation for Ole Miss football

Ole Miss football had three players selected in the 2024 NFL Draft. A host of others signed unrestricted free agent contracts.

Next year’s cycle should be much more fruitful for the Rebels, who, last season, won 11 games for the first time in program history. Jaxson Dart, Tre Harris, Walter Nolen, Princely Umanmielen and many, many more will all be eligible.

Zach Berry (OMSpirit.com/On3) and David Brandt (Associated Press) discuss it all, as well as the historical number of first-round quarterbacks this year, and some Week 0 college football lines, in this edition of ‘The Flagship,’ powered by College Corner.

  • The Flagship: Will Jaxson Dart be a cover athlete for EA Sports College Football?

EA Sports College Football is set to return to shelves this summer after over a decade away.

Players have the option to opt into the game — which, for the first time, allows FBS athletes to benefit from their name, image and likeness. Roughly 1.5 million copies were sold when the last iteration of the immensely popular gaming title came out in 2013.

Ole Miss quarterback Jaxson Dart will likely be a headliner. But will he secure a coveted spot on the cover?

Zach Berry (OMSpirit.com/On3) and Grayson Weir (Bro Bible) consider his candidacy, and that of all the other stars in college football, in this Monday (April 29, 2024) edition of ‘The Flagship,’ powered by College Corner.

  • Flagship: ‘Grove Bowl Games’ a pitch-perfect smash for Ole Miss football

The first iteration of the ‘Grove Bowl Games’ came and went for Ole Miss football on Saturday.

All involved deserve kudos — as the Rebels, writ large, continued to display their constant evolution in a now-carnival-like college athletics space. This Monday edition (April 15, 2024) of ‘The Flagship’ is presented by College Corner.

But Lane Kiffin’s footballers weren’t the only game(s) (literally!) in town. Ole Miss baseball finally won more games in a series than in-state rival Mississippi State, snapping a streak of well north of 3,000 days.
