  • Flagship: ‘Grove Bowl Games’ a pitch-perfect smash for Ole Miss football

The first iteration of the ‘Grove Bowl Games’ came and went for Ole Miss football on Saturday.

They weren’t for everybody. But they were more than enough for Zach Berry and Ben Garrett of the Ole Miss Spirit/On3 (OMSpirit.com).

All involved deserve kudos — as the Rebels, writ large, continued to display their constant evolution in a now-carnival-like college athletics space. This Monday edition (April 15, 2024) of ‘The Flagship’ is presented by College Corner.

But Lane Kiffin’s footballers weren’t the only game(s) (literally!) in town. Ole Miss baseball finally won more games in a series than in-state rival Mississippi State, snapping a streak of well north of 3,000 days.

  • Banks’ Open in the ‘Ivey League’: Coming home, gaming and stepping up at Ole Miss

South Alabama transfer defensive back Yam Banks is next up in the ‘Ivey League,’ a multimedia podcast hosted by third-year star Ole Miss defender Jared Ivey, presented by RiverLand Roofing and in exclusive partnership with the Ole Miss Spirit.

Banks was a member of a winter portal class ranked No. 3 in the country by On3. He chose the Rebels over Florida.

But there’s much more to Banks than simply football. The converted wide receiver loves gaming and misses baseball. He also helped turn Ridgeland (Miss.) High School into a contender, paving the way for Ayden Williams.

  • Some Flagship props to Ole Miss for fending off Arkansas to keep Chris Beard

In this Monday (April 8, 2024) edition of ‘The Flagship,’ powered by College Corner, Zach Berry of the Ole Miss Spirit/On3 and Grayson Weir of Bro Bible take a full-view look at a wild weekend for the college basketball coaching carousel.

Ole Miss, for the second time in four years, fended off Arkansas to keep a head coach in one of its ‘Big Three’ (football, basketball and baseball) sports.

The Razorbacks were no match for the Rebels with Lane Kiffin. Their pursuit of Chris Beard was a little more hairy.

  • A ‘Princely’ welcome to the Ivey League for Ole Miss football’s newest sack artist

Ole Miss football in the off-season added some elite-level (and high-priced!) tools to an already-pretty-stacked defensive line box.

Walter Nolen (defensive tackle, Texas A&M) was ranked as the portal’s No. 2 overall transfer. Princely Umanmielen (EDGE, Florida) was No. 6. He’s the No. 7 returning EDGE in college football, according to Pro Football Focus.

And now Umanmielen sits down with his new Ole Miss teammate (and position group member) Jared Ivey in an all-new edition of ‘Ivey League,’ a podcast powered by RiverLand Roofing and exclusively associated with the Ole Miss Spirit/On3 (OMSpirit.com).

  • Oh, Dear: A recruiting-heavy Flagship after Ole Miss landed nation’s No. 2 RB

Ole Miss football over the weekend secured its second commitment for the 2025 recruiting class.

The Rebels might soon need a bigger boat.

Because they made a splash in reeling in Akylin Dear, ranked by On3 as the No. 34 overall recruit and No. 2 running back. Dear’s the No. 2 player in Mississippi. Dear could be just the start for Lane Kiffin and Co. as they attack a loaded in-state class this cycle.

Good thing, too. It seems Ole Miss fans will need the distraction after baseball got back to its losing ways with a weekend sweep (in Oxford!) at the hands of SEC-leading Kentucky.

Zach Berry and Ben Garrett of the Ole Miss Spirit/On3 (OMSpirit.com) have all bases covered in an all-new edition of The Flagship, powered by College Corner. Join the Spirit today for just $1 if you’re not a member.

  • ‘Doo’ Does the Ivey League: Ole Miss riding Bentley as lead back in ‘24

Quinshon Judkins set a new single-season Ole Miss rushing record two years ago. Now he’s an Ohio State Buckeye.

But the Rebels aren’t lacking for running back talent. Ole Miss, in the off-season, re-upped veteran Ulysses Bentley, IV, with a fresh NIL deal. He's expected to lead the room.

That is, whenever he gets back on the field. Bentley, IV — who is known to those closest to him as ‘Doo’ — is currently in a walking boot as he recovers from (left) turf toe.

“What’s crazy is when I hurt it and went to the doctors and stuff, they told me I played through the whole (2023 season) with it,” Bentley, IV, said, in a Friday appearance of the ‘Ivey League,’ a weekly multi-platform podcast hosted by third-year Ole Miss star defender Jared Ivey.

“I’ve never felt any pain at all.”

Upcoming ‘Ivey League’ guests include Florida transfer EDGE Princely Umanmielen, Ole Miss athletics director Keith Carter and Grove Collective executive director Walker Jones.

The ‘Ivey League’ is exclusive to the Ole Miss Spirit/On3 (OMSpirit.com) and powered by RiverLand Roofing. For all your roofing needs, text or call RiverLand Roofing today at (662) 644-4297. Visit them online at RiverlandRoofing.com.
