In this episode I had the pleasure of speaking with Slandy Noel. Slandy, an immigrant from Haiti, moved to the United states when she was 15 years of age without speaking the English language. One of her main concerns was that she would not learn English in time to attend college. With a supporting mother and phenomenal teachers, she was not only able to learn the English language but she was able to excel in college and become a chemist.
