The Detroit Institute of Art is celebrating the 100th anniversary of their purchase of Vincent Van Gogh's Self-Portrait #7. It took around 30 years after the artist's death to be recognized in the States, and even then he was quite polarizing. Is he still today? Should we care? My couch, my table, my couch, my table! Which is it? Can it be that a 1930's (ish) couch can be made into a table? We think so!

A couple months ago Edwin was given the specific challenge of "do sumthin' cool with this" and he is happy to report that he has indeed done sumthin' cool.

It was important to keep the integrity of the original couchiness, so details like keeping a few tacks and using the inside supports as the back legs was a must.

Megan's had it and she's giving up. On perfectionism, that is. Shifting her focus from perfect to good, she is practicing this mindset by using materials that are inherently imperfect. By making simple (yet beautiful!) projects using recycled materials over and over again, Megan has learned that striving for "good" is better than "overthinking" and "perfectionism".
