In the wake of Cassie’s testimony against Diddy, Megan Thee Stallion’s fight for peace after being shot, and Halle Bailey’s filing for custody of her son, Black men have taken to social media calling women ‘liars’ and claiming black men are ‘under attack.’ But when women speak out against abuse, why is accountability being framed as a betrayal? Is this a legitimate fear, or a deflection from the bigger issue?
