My Love, You Need to Look | Episode 38
⚠️ TRIGGER WARNING: This conversation contains strong language and raw discussion around childhood conditioning, rejection, self-abandonment, people-pleasing, survival patterns, relationships, and the uncomfortable shit we discover when we finally stop performing and look in the fucking mirror.
This is not a podcast about holding space for shit that doesn’t matter anymore.
This is sister-to-sister conversation with the filter completely fucking removed.
Karen and I get into vulnerability—not the pretty, packaged version where you tell everyone what happened to you and call yourself vulnerable. The kind where somebody you love holds up a mirror and you realize:
Oh fuck. I do that.
What happens when loving, nurturing, giving, anticipating everyone’s needs and being the person who always has it handled isn’t just who you are?
What if somewhere underneath all that beautiful giving is a tiny voice saying:
Do more. Be useful. Be needed. Then you’ll be safe.
And what happens when somebody says, “Stop. Let me.”
Why can receiving feel like rejection?
Why does sitting still feel so fucking uncomfortable?
Who are you when you’re not proving how much you can carry?
This episode is permission to stop spiritualizing your shit.
Stop polishing it.
Stop making every wound profound.
And fucking look.
Because maybe vulnerability isn’t exposing yourself to everybody else.
Maybe vulnerability is finally becoming brave enough to stop hiding from yourself.
Welcome to Permission Slip.
Come sit with the sisters.
It gets fucking spicy.
