Devotion on Matthew 28:16-20
1) Christ has authority over everything. How do we make sense of this statement, in a world where we face evil and resistance? How do we trust that Jesus is in charge when we face persecution or when we see bad things happen to good people? Share an example you may know of where Christ is indeed in charge, despite the circumstances in life.
2) We are to know Jesus, and live out what He has taught. Jesus' message for our purpose is clear, in verse 19. How excited are we in carrying this out? Have you experienced a truth of Jesus that is counter-intuitive to the ways of the world that you wanted to share it with others? What is that experience? If not, how can we get started to know about Christ more, to experience these truths and live out his teachings?
3) We need the power of the holy spirit in our struggles and challenges on earth. Have you experienced the prompting or power of the holy spirit, in a situation you would not have been able to cope, or would have acted very differently, if you relied on your own power? Share that experience. How can we be more in tune with the holy spirit?

Devotion on John 13:1-5; 12-17; 34
1) What are some possible areas of your life where the devil may have prompted you to certain directions? If the devil's hand was really at play, how can we use the power of God to overcome that? What are some perspectives that the devil had perverted, so much so that the world celebrates them? List them down.
2) What are some things you might have refused to do, not because of lack of time, but because you felt they were beneath you? Were there others you had in mind to do those things? Might we subconsciously be viewing these people as beneath us? Do we see other workers doing seemingly menial tasks as our equals and colleagues who merely have a different job scope?
3) It doesn't matter how many members we have in the church or how many ministries we are doing, if loving one another is not seen in our actions, and not what we value the most. What are some examples of church activities, where there is alot of doing but not alot of loving in the way it was done? For those examples, what can we do or change such that we show love in those actions?
