  • Incarcerated For Murder; Now An Executive Director /Entrepreneur

    In this Reentry Network Podcast episode, we have Quan Huyn; an executive director got Defy Ventures, and an author of the transformational novel, "Sparrow in the Razor Wire." Through this episode, Quan opens up about the struggles of being a Vietnamese immigrant and how growing up in a struggling environment dictated where he was going to end up in life. Unfortunately, it did; Quan was sentenced to life for second-degree murder.

    Quan had spent 22 years in and out of prison bars. Long after Quan began to re-evaluate his past actions and how his lifestyle impacted those around him. As the eldest son of a Vietnamese family who had for years struggled with the loss of his father; Quan felt he needed to evolve into a better version of himself. Once Quan was able to accept accountability, he was able to forgive his past self and help others do the same. Quan found a sense of purpose helping others refind themselves and fight for a second chance.
