VF Comics Podcast is a comics podcast for everyone, because comics should be for everyone. Whether you want to learn about the medium and industry, find something to read, or just bathe in ideas about the most misunderstood medium of art, we have got you covered. My name is Marcus and I've gotten together a group of friends who don't share tastes in entertainment, only a love for sequential art. Listen up nerds and potential nerds, we are the VF Comics Podcast.

It's finally here! Our first book club meeting! Every month we are going to read a different graphic novel and share our thoughts with all of you! Make sure to join the book club on the VF Comics and Graphics facebook page in order to participate in the discussion! News and UpkeepWayne Family Adventures Main DiscussionEmbroideries by Marjane Satrapi From the best–selling author of Persepolis comes this gloriously entertaining and enlightening look into the sex lives of Iranian women. Embroideries gathers together Marjane’s tough–talking grandmother, stoic mother, glamorous and eccentric aunt and their friends and neighbors for an afternoon of tea drinking and talking. Naturally, the subject turns to love, sex and the vagaries of men. As the afternoon progresses, these vibrant women share their secrets, their regrets and their often outrageous stories about, among other things, how to fake one’s virginity, how to escape an arranged marriage, how to enjoy the miracles of plastic surgery and how to delight in being a mistress. By turns revealing and hilarious, these are stories about the lengths to which some women will go to find a man, keep a man or, most important, keep up appearances. Some of the best films you may or may not have heard of have been adapted from comics and graphic novels, so we want to explore them all with you. Join us for these Adapt-isodes as we explore the best films and tv shows that you may not know had their origins in the sequential art medium. This week the VF Comics Podcast is proud to have Jessica Carson, writer for the CW's The Flash, and amazing filmmaker in her own right. Jess will get to talk with us about her experiences working on the Flash, particularly the ins and outs of adapting a character that has been around for decades. Later on, we get to an update on the latest comic book union news with a response from Image Comics, before hearing about a great book that Jess has brought to share with us. #23 Jess Carson and the Flash, Image Union Response, and ENIAC

Another busy week! This week the gang gets to talk about the comic book union forming in Image Comics and how it might affect the rest of the industry. Later they have a discussion about Taika Waititi's upcoming adaptation of Jodorowsky's classic graphic novel, the Incal. During that discussion the group discusses some controversy in Jodorowsky's past. Rounding out the important news is the fact that publisher Bad Idea is giving rocks if you send in a limited collectors pin. Seems like a bad idea. Finally, Marcus recommends Klaus, the origins of Santa by Grant Morrison and Dan Mora. #19 A Better Tomorrow, Political Comics, and Smashing Klans
