A Book Festival Where You Can Wander, Listen, Eat, and Stay a While

7m | Oct 23, 2026

When Diane Hats began planning the Sage and Ink Book Festival, she hoped five people would sign up. Within 48 hours, more than 50 writers and publishers had applied. On Three Questions, host Pam Myers talks with Diane about the festival’s 50-plus tables, six genres, and a Publishers Row featuring New Mexico small presses. They also preview four panel discussions, quick-fire “book bites” where authors pitch their work in 15 seconds, and poetry and spoken-word performances. The free, come-and-go event is designed to bring readers and local literary creators together—and even includes holiday stress tips from a nonfiction author.
