Journey with Jesus – God Already Knows What You Have — But He Wants

to Hear You Name It and Thank Him for It

In this deeply relational and intimacy-building message, you'll be

invited into one of the most simple, most accessible, and most

genuinely powerful things you can do in your time with God — sit

before Him and specifically, personally, deliberately, and out loud

name the things you are truly and genuinely grateful for. Not a

vague and general expression of thankfulness. Not a rushed and

formulaic opening to a prayer that quickly moves on to the request

list. But a real, unhurried, eyes-open-to-the-goodness-of-God

naming of the specific people, the specific moments, the specific

provisions, the specific mercies, and the specific blessings that

fill your life — spoken directly to the God who gave every single

one of them. He already knows everything you have. He already knows

everything He has done. But there is something that happens in the

relationship, in your own heart, and in the spiritual atmosphere

around you when you open your mouth and tell Him anyway.

This episode encourages you to set aside time in your prayer life

specifically and exclusively for the naming of gratitude — not as

a preamble to the real content of your prayer but as the content

itself. When prayer has become primarily a list of needs and requests

with a brief nod to thankfulness at the start, that's your signal

that the relationship has drifted toward transaction and away from

communion — and that what God is most wanting from you in this

season is not another request but a specific and heartfelt thank

you. Name it. Say it out loud. Tell Him exactly what you are

grateful for. And watch what it does to you when you do.

No matter how long it has been since you sat before God and

specifically named what you are grateful for right now, take

comfort in this truth: a heart that opens before God in specific

and genuine thankfulness is a heart that God draws near to — and

His nearness is the greatest thing you could ever be grateful for.

🎧 Listen now and be inspired to do the one thing that could

completely transform your time with God today — sit before Him

and tell Him, specifically and personally, exactly what you are

grateful for.

"I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell

of all your wonderful deeds." — Psalm 9:1 (NIV)
