• Dead Media and Rambo Stuff

Hoodcast AF Episode 315 – Dead Media and Rambo Stuff

The future is physical, and the Hood is ready to cash in! Tommy Toys joins The Fallen and Chizzle for another episode of Hoodcast AF, where the guys get into the world of dead media and why DVDs, movies, video games, and other physical formats might be making a massive comeback. Sure, the resurgence is already happening, but the boys believe we’re heading toward an absolute boom, with a collecting peak somewhere on the horizon. So start digging through those old collections, dust off those DVDs, and get your physical media before everybody else figures out what they’ve been missing!

Meanwhile, Tommy Toys has apparently become a TikTok sensation thanks to his adventures as a Needoh toy store hunter. Waiting in lines, deploying ghost chairs, and whatever other questionable activities he’s getting himself into. But we’re saving the full story for the Patreon aftershow, including the mysterious woman filming Tommy while he’s apparently pirouetting in line. What the hell is this guy doing? And why is somebody filming it? You’ll have to join the aftershow to find out.

There’s also plenty of collectible news, Pokémon, McDonald’s, and all sorts of other nonsense to dig through. The guys get into Chizzle’s musical tastes, which he proudly identifies as Hick Hop — a beautiful marriage of country music and rap. Naturally, The Fallen takes things a step further by reworking some of the show’s familiar segment stingers, including the news, with Hick Hop-inspired beats and other musical atrocities.

Dead media, toy hunting, Hick Hop, collectible news, and Rambo stuff. Just another day at the office for Hoodcast AF. You know the drill. Tune in!

  • Quija Phone - Retrospective

Hoodcast AF – Retrospective: Episode 121 – “Ouija Phone”

We’re taking a trip back into the Hoodcast AF archives for a look at one of the strangest Halloween specials ever recorded: Episode 121, “Ouija Phone.”

In this retrospective, Fallen revisits the madness as he listens along and provides commentary on an episode where the gang attempts to contact the dead using a telephone somehow connected to a Ouija board. Because apparently a regular phone call just wasn’t creepy enough.

And who makes an appearance? None other than the legendary Sylvia Browne, who shows up to talk about all sorts of nonsense, including Mike TV’s deceased grandparents and a particularly questionable family connection involving his grandfather’s World War II service, alleged hoarding of Jewish gold, and a whole lot of other bizarre shenanigans.

It’s ghosts, questionable psychic abilities, family secrets, and the kind of supernatural nonsense that could only come from the Hoodcast archives.

So dust off that spirit board, pick up the haunted telephone, and join Fallen as he revisits an old Halloween classic. The dead may have moved on, but apparently they still have plenty to say.

  • Ep.314 "The Crypt Door Swing" Halloween Special

🎃 HOODCAST AF EPISODE 314: THE HALLOWEEN SPECIAL! 👻

Fallen promised he would do it, and now the time has come! This Halloween, Hoodcast AF attempts to reach beyond the grave and contact the one, the only, the legendary Cobra Dad on the other side! Will they make contact with their dearly departed friend, or will this whole thing turn into another spectacular Hoodcast disaster? Thankfully, they’ve got some help from the world of the supernatural: Sylvia Browne! Well, she’s dead, too, but that doesn’t stop her from getting involved. Somehow, her soul ends up inhabiting a ventriloquist dummy, and she does such a terrible job communicating with the other side that she eventually just comes back to life to smoke cigarettes, or as she affectionately calls them, ciggies! You can’t make this stuff up!

But that’s not all! Hoodcast AF has officially acquired a house band! The Crypt Door has supplied us with a collection of original Halloween songs, packed with spooky sounds, creepy vibes, and plenty of Hoodcast references. These musical maniacs only do Halloween songs, making them the perfect addition to this year’s festivities. Their tunes will be haunting the episode throughout, so keep your ears open!

Meanwhile, Chizzle has been making the rounds on the toy show and convention circuit, and he’s got some thoughts about the whole experience. What should you expect from vendors when you’re out hunting for collectibles? What should vendors expect from their customers? What’s reasonable, what’s ridiculous, and who’s asking for too damn much? From the buyer’s perspective to the vendor’s side of the table, Chizzle breaks down the expectations, frustrations, and complaints that come with doing business in the collectible community.

We’ve also got the latest collectible news, with plenty of cool stuff from Mezco, Marvel Legends, and more! And because no Hoodcast Halloween would be complete without a little questionable musical entertainment, Fallen debuts a song dedicated to Cobra Dad’s dearly departed dog, Jimbo! If you remember the emotional roller coaster of Cobra’s updates and Jimbo’s passing from our previous compilation episode, you already know the backstory. Now, Jimbo gets his own song, and let’s just say it’s about as heartfelt, ridiculous, and hilarious as you’d expect from this crew.

Can Hoodcast AF reach Cobra Dad from beyond the grave? Will Sylvia Browne’s possessed dummy finally deliver a message from the other side? Or will this entire supernatural investigation go straight to hell?

Tune in for Hoodcast AF Episode 314, where the spirits are restless, the ciggies are burning, the collectibles are piling up, and the chaos is absolutely supernatural!

    Happy Halloween, Hoodlums! 🎃💀

  • I worked at a Mortuary

Hoodcast AF Bonus Episode: The Mortuary Files

Before he became a legend of Hoodcast AF, the late, great Cobra Dad had a few stories of his own that sound like they came straight out of a horror movie — except these actually happened… or at least, that’s what he says!

In this special bonus episode, Cobra Dad and The Fallen sit down to talk about the time Cobra lived in a mortuary. From stupid, hilarious things he did while living among the dead to unexplained footsteps, creepy encounters, and the time his wife, Cobra Mina, saw a ghost, this episode has it all. Paranormal activity, questionable decisions, and the kind of stories that make you wonder what the hell was going on in that place.

It’s ghosts, ghouls, and mortuary madness as Cobra Dad shares his experiences from the other side of the funeral business. A little creepy, a lot ridiculous, and 100% Cobra Dad. Join us for this special piece of Hoodcast AF history as we revisit the stories, laughs, and unforgettable personality of our beloved Cobra Dad. Some places are better left unexplored… but you know Cobra had to find out the hard way!

  • The Balad of Jimbo (Cobra's dead dog)

Hoodcast AF Bonus Episode: The Ballad of Jimbo

Some stories from the Hoodcast AF universe are funny, some are chaotic, and some hit a little closer to home. The Ballad of Jimbo is a collection of clips documenting the final days of Jimbo, Cobra Dad’s beloved dog, as the Hoodcast crew followed along, shared updates, and eventually said goodbye.

Hosted by Jonathan Fallon, this bonus episode kicks off with footage from the livestream where everything unfolded, setting the stage for a series of clips from across the Hoodcast AF archives. Just to be clear, this was a companion livestream and video event, not the actual audio podcast episode.

The first stop takes us to the A Worthy Addiction YouTube show, featuring Toy Addict 17, Worthy Collector, Pot Dog, Cobra Dad, and Mike TV — or Mike V-Town, or whatever name he’s going by this week. And because nothing in this community is ever completely normal, Worthy Collector’s microphone happens to be hot while he’s apparently taking a bathroom break in his toy room. We’re still not entirely sure what was happening there.

From there, we dig into clips from other episodes, including some truly bizarre phone calls from BC Zach, also known as Zachary Evergreen, who apparently has just as many aliases as the rest of this bunch. Zach makes some unforgettable calls, including one where he calls in as Jimbo himself — Cobra’s dearly departed dog — leaving us to hear Cobra’s reaction to this unusual, and admittedly pretty strange, tribute.

It’s a hodgepodge of livestream moments, archived conversations, questionable phone calls, and the kind of unpredictable nonsense that only this crew can deliver. But underneath all the chaos is a record of a difficult time for Cobra Dad and the people who were there to share it with him.

The Ballad of Jimbo is a look back at Jimbo’s story, the people who came together around it, and the strange, funny, heartfelt moments that became part of Hoodcast AF history. A tribute to Cobra’s four-legged friend, assembled from the clips that captured it all — Hoodcast style.

  • Big Clay's Place

    Hoodcast AF Episode 313: A $41 Toothbrush!

Hoodcast AF welcomes a new face to the show as Big Clay, owner and proprietor of Big Clay’s Place, joins the boys for the first time! Big Clay is a fellow toy vendor, vintage toy hunter, and collector with plenty of stories and insight to share with The Fallen and Chizzle. From the hunt for vintage treasures to the wild world of toy shows and buying and selling collectibles, there’s plenty to dig into when another toy hustler joins the conversation.

Speaking of toy shows, The Fallen has a bone to pick with the San Jose Super Toy Show. Between $20 parking, another $20 just to get through the door, and somehow barely making the early-bird cutoff (which would’ve saved him five whole dollars), the math wasn’t exactly mathing. And what did he walk away with after all that? A ONE-DOLLAR QUEEN AMIDALA TOOTHBRUSH! But hey, when you factor in the $40 admission and parking, that might just be a $41 toothbrush. Now that’s collecting!

The boys keep the show rolling with the latest news, including a whole lot of NECA reveals and previews of what’s coming at New York Comic Con. We’ve got a new guest, toy-show war stories, collector complaints, and the usual Hoodcast AF nonsense.

Tune in to Episode 313 for another banger! Hoodcast AF: Where the toys are expensive, the parking is ridiculous, and the toothbrushes are priceless!

  • Crap Keeper

Hoodcast AF Episode 312: Crypt Keeper? More Like Crap Keeper!

The Fallen kicks off Episode 312 with a full-blown horror meltdown, setting his sights on Greg Nicotero and his new Crypt Keeper design. But why stop there? Fallen starts digging through Nicotero’s recent work and puts him on blast for what he sees as a crime against horror icons, including Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th and other beloved monsters that apparently can’t catch a break. Is Fallen justified, or is he just another horror fan yelling at the clouds? You know this one’s going to get heated!

Chizzle joins the madness as the boys tackle more collectible news, take calls from the listeners, and go wherever the conversation takes them. Horror hot takes, questionable opinions, and the usual Hoodcast AF nonsense are all on the menu.

Another episode, another round of chaos. Hoodcast AF at its hoodest. Tune in for Episode 312 — it’s another banger!

  • The Haunted Toys R Us

Remember the haunted Toys R Us in Sunnyvale, California? The one that supposedly had a ghost hanging around the aisles? Well, the Hoodcast crew has been talking about this local paranormal legend for years, and now we’ve dug through the archives to bring you THE HAUNTED TOYS R US SAGA!

This is a special compilation of our past episodes, edited down to feature all the haunted Toys R Us madness in one place. Jonathan Fallon and Mike TV sit down to watch and comment on an old-school ‘80s television segment featuring Sylvia Browne making one of her earliest appearances and getting started with her psychic endeavors. What follows is exactly what you’d expect when you put these two together with a paranormal mystery in their own backyard: chaos ensues!

We tear into Sylvia Browne, roast the footage, question the whole haunted Toys R Us story, and have a hell of a time revisiting this bizarre piece of local lore. Is there something supernatural lurking among the forgotten toys, or is this just another opportunity for the Hoodcast crew to talk a whole lot of nonsense? You already know how this is going to go.

But that’s not all! In the second part of this episode, we’re joined by none other than Homeless Jimmy, professional wrestler of XPW fame! Jimmy joins the crew to get into the spooky side of things as we talk ghosts, Sylvia Browne, and the infamous haunted Toys R Us. The paranormal conversation takes another turn as we bring in a special guest who’s ready to dive into the weirdness with us. More ghost stories, more Sylvia Browne discussion, and more Hoodcast chaos!

But this saga is just the beginning! We’re bringing Sylvia Browne BACK for our upcoming Halloween special, where she’ll attempt to reach beyond the grave and contact our dearly departed Cobra Dad! That’s right — we’re going paranormal once again, and this time, we’re hoping the spirits are ready for the Hoodcast treatment.

So crank up the volume, revisit the haunted Toys R Us saga, and get ready for another round of paranormal shenanigans. Keep your eyes peeled for our Halloween special, because Sylvia Browne is coming back, and Cobra Dad might just have something to say! 👻

  • Crazy 311

    Hoodcast AF Episode 311 — “Crazy 311”

Fallen has officially lost the plot. He somehow mixes up 311 with Crazy Town and, naturally, everything goes completely off the rails from there.

Charlie is dealing with a messed-up back and, once again, can’t do much of anything—but that isn’t stopping the countdown to his upcoming toy show/card show. He gets into the behind-the-scenes battles, alliances, and dealings with other toy show entrepreneurs, because apparently putting on a collectible show requires just as much drama as the collectibles themselves.

Then we get into toy shop politics, as the crew talks about the local shop everybody frequents, sells at, and apparently has plenty of opinions about.

And just when you think the conversation couldn’t get any stranger, Fallen brings up an online creator making Pokémon-inspired adult dolls. The conversation quickly heads into some truly bizarre territory, including an unforgettable discussion involving an Umbreon-shaped rear end.

Plus, collectible news, toy talk, random tangents, and all the usual Hoodcast chaos.

Hoodcast AF Episode 311 is here. You’ve been warned.

  • Apology Tour

Hoodcast AF Episode 310 — “Apology Tour”

It’s another episode of Hoodcast AF, and this time Chisel and The Fallen have plenty to apologize for… probably.

Chisel kicks things off with some toy show drama, breaking down the latest vendor beef, convention nonsense, and the kind of collectible-community chaos that only happens when you put a bunch of toy dealers in the same building.

Then the boys get into Transformers, including Target’s infamous Apology Tour and all the toys, figures, and questionable decisions that come along with it. They take a look at the Super7 clamshell figures, talk about what works and what doesn’t, and then get into the big boy himself—the massive Optimus that both Fallen and Chisel picked up.

Of course, Fallen can’t just leave Optimus alone. He’s already planning a repaint and has even printed up some custom blasters to give the big bot a little more firepower.

    And that’s just the beginning.

There’s plenty of collectible news, toy talk, convention stories, opinions nobody asked for, acquisitions, arguments, tangents, and all the other bullshit that makes Hoodcast AF what it is.

    Episode 310: Apology Tour.

Come for the Transformers. Stay for the chaos.

  • Bonus Patreon Episode 309 "Maney N****"

Tron Trizzle, Tommy Toys, Chizzle, and The Fallen kick off this completely impromptu Aftershow with Tron trying to make a deal with The Fallen for a Galactus HasLab. Tommy Toys attempts to step in as the moderator and keep everyone on track.

That plan lasts about five seconds.

What follows is a bunch of collectors talking shop, talking deals, talking trash, and spiraling into complete Hoodcast chaos. No script. No plan. Just four motherfuckers sitting around talking a bunch of shit until the whole thing goes haywire.

This is exactly why we have a Bonus Aftershow.

  • Maney MFer's

The Hoodcast gets even more unhinged this week as Tommy Toys returns to the show—and he’s not coming alone. He brings along Tron Trizzle, a hardcore Transformers collector, certified big-robot guy, and apparently just as maney as the rest of us.

Chizzle and The Fallen are in full deal-making mode, talking toys, collecting, buying, selling, and all the bullshit that comes with it. Deals are made, shit gets talked, and before long the entire show goes completely off the rails.

And trust us… you’re gonna want to WATCH this one. There’s some shit happening on this episode that you simply can’t appreciate through audio alone. If you’ve been sleeping on the Hoodcast YouTube feed, now is the time to wake the hell up.

    Tommy. Tron. Chizzle. Fallen.

“Maney and Meffers” is Hoodcast AF at its absolute hoodest.

    You’ve been warned.

  • Pokemon World Hood Edition

    🔥 HOODCAST AF — EPISODE 308 🔥

    “POKÉMON WORLD: HOOD EDITION”

Pokémon World came to the neighborhood… THE HOODCAST NEIGHBORHOOD! And while The Fallen was nowhere to be found, Chizzle was in the vicinity, slanging Pokémon like rent was due. 😂 Cards, collectors, deals, crowds, insanity—and apparently Chizzle did so well that he damn near SOLD OUT!

Now Chizzle brings the firsthand dirt from Pokémon World, including what went down, what people were buying, what people were selling, and all the madness surrounding one of the biggest Pokémon events ever to hit the Bay Area. The 2026 World Championships brought tens of thousands of Pokémon fans into San Francisco, so you already KNOW the Hoodcast crew has some shit to say about it.

But Pokémon ain’t the only thing going down…

    📞 Listener calls!

🎯 Target gets questioned over some questionable costumes!

🤨 The first action figure apparently gets hit with a VERY unusual “customization.” Let’s just say… somebody REALLY loved that figure.

🧸 Collectible news and toy insanity!

💰 More buying, selling, flipping and collector bullshit!

🔥 And plenty of other Hoodcast nonsense that probably shouldn’t be discussed in polite company.

And then there’s THE BIG QUESTION…

IS HOODCAST AF ACTUALLY GOING TO KEEP GOING?!

Rumors have been flying. People have been asking. The future of Hoodcast has been questioned.

So naturally, Fallen decides to answer the question the only way he knows how… WITH A FUCKING SONG. 🎤😂

A brand-new Fallen original addressing the rumors, the future, and whether Hoodcast AF is riding off into the sunset—or getting ready to keep causing problems.

Episode 308 is Pokémon, toys, listener calls, questionable headlines, Chizzle’s Pokémon World hustle, and a musical announcement about the future of Hoodcast AF.

Hoodcast AF. Still here? Gone tomorrow?

Listen and find the fuck out.

  • Hey You Guys!
    • CHIZZLE IS BACK!
    • After heading up to Astoria, Oregon, Chizzle returns to Hoodcast AF with stories, nostalgia, and a whole lot of opinions. Is nostalgia still worth what people say it is, or have collectors started banking WAY too hard on memories from their childhood? When does sentimental value turn into straight-up “I remember this, so it must be worth a fortune” thinking?
    • Chizzle also gives us the rundown on his trip, his daughter’s wedding, everything that went down in Astoria—and, of course, he wastes absolutely no time giving Fallen a hard time for completely messing up the show while he was gone.
    • YOU MISSED CHIZZLE, AND HE KNOWS IT.
    • Then we dive into the collectible news, and Hasbro gives collectors another reason to scratch their heads. The new Star Wars Vintage Collection INT-4 Interceptor was announced at one price, only for collectors to discover a much higher price showing up without much warning.
    • Is it nostalgia bait? Is it inflation? Is Hasbro just testing how much collectors will tolerate? Or are we all suckers for that childhood feeling?
    • Plus, plenty more toy news, collectible nonsense, opinions, arguments, and the usual Hoodcast insanity.
    • Chizzle is back. Fallen is getting blamed. Hasbro is getting roasted.
    • It’s another episode of HOODCAST AF.

  • Ep.306 Buying and Selling Tactics

Hoodcast AF is back with Episode 306, and this time Jonathan Fallen and Tommy Toys are joined by a special guest from the Knife Party podcast, Zach! Chizzle sits this one out, but don’t worry, he still manages to get himself heard when the phone call comes through.

The boys go deep on movies, pop culture, and all the shit worth talking about, including the latest Spider-Man insanity surrounding Spider-Man: Brand New Day. With the movie now out and making serious noise at the box office, there’s plenty to argue about, praise, shiz-talk, and dissect.

Then the conversation takes a hard turn into the world of buying and selling collectibles. Toy shows, Comic-Cons, flea markets, negotiating, making deals, knowing when to walk away, and all the dirty little tricks that come with trying to get the best price—or squeeze the most money out of something you’re selling.

Fallen, Tommy Toys, and Zach break down the unwritten rules of the collectible hustle, share some real-world experiences, and get into the tactics people actually use when money and toys are on the table.

And of course, because this is Hoodcast AF, the conversation eventually goes completely off the rails.

Movies. Toys. Pop culture. Buying. Selling. Haggling. Scheming. Chizzle calling in from the sidelines. And three dudes talking way too much shiz.

Episode 306 is another straight-up Hoodcast episode. You know what you’re getting.

Tune in, turn it up, and prepare for some crazy shiz.

  • The NeeDoh Jam

The Hoodcast is BACK to basics, baby—and this time, we’re getting SQUISHY.

Episode 305, NEEDO JAM, brings the one and only Tommy Toys into the Hoodcast universe after years of talking about this dude. Tommy has crossed paths with everybody: Fallen, Mikey V Town, Cobra, Chizzle—hell, Tommy calls Chizzle “Chucky.” Whatever you wanna call him, the man is finally HERE.

And he’s bringing the NeeDoh knowledge.

What the hell is a Needoh? Why are grown-ass adults standing in lines for weird sensory squish toys? Why are stores getting raided like there’s a PS5 shortage? And why the hell are people acting like these things are the last toys on Earth?

    Tommy Toys knows.

And this episode is an absolute BARN BURNER.

Fallen, Chizzle, and Tommy go completely off the rails as Hoodcast returns to its roots: toys, collectibles, pop culture, stupid shit, questionable conversations, and enough nonsense to make you wonder how we ever got 305 episodes into this.

We talk Needohs, collecting, the toy game, and a whole lot of shit that has absolutely nothing to do with toys.

Including the absolutely insane story surrounding the fart that allegedly killed the audience at the new Spider-Man: Brand New Day.

Nobody actually died. THANK GOD. But apparently somebody brought an ass to the theater that was more powerful than the MCU.

    And that’s just the beginning.

Plus, Tommy Toys has a Needoh song. That’s right. A full-blown Needo JAM. Unfortunately, you’re not getting the full performance on the regular episode.

    You want the practice version?

    That’s AFTER SHOW territory.

Head over to the Patreon if you want to hear Tommy Toys drop the Needo anthem that you didn’t know you needed.

    NEEDOH JAM. EPISODE 305.

Tommy Toys is finally on Hoodcast AF.

    The Hood is open.

    The Needohs are squishy.

And we’re fucking wilding out again.

Hoodcast AF. Back to basics. Back to stupid. Back to fun.

You’re gonna love every damn minute of it.

  • SDCC 26

San Diego Comic-Con has come and gone, and if you were expecting Jonathan Fallen and Chizzle to shower this year’s reveals with praise… think again.

Episode 304 dives headfirst into the biggest SDCC ‘26 action figure announcements, and the guys aren’t pulling any punches. From underwhelming Star Wars reveals to toy lines that left collectors scratching their heads, this year’s convention gets the full Hoodcast treatment. Sure, there are a few bright spots—especially some of the WWE reveals that actually impressed them—but for the most part, it’s an all-out roast of what many collectors waited all year to see. Recent SDCC showcases included major Hasbro Star Wars reveals and a strong lineup of Mattel WWE figures, giving the crew plenty of ammunition for both praise and criticism. (LaughingPlace.com)

As always, the toy talk is only the beginning. Expect plenty of side tangents, laughs, arguments, random chaos, and the kind of off-the-wall conversations that only Hoodcast AF can deliver.

If you’re a collector who’s been wondering whether SDCC 2026 lived up to the hype—or just want to hear two guys absolutely tear into the biggest reveals of the year—this is an episode you won’t want to miss.

Hoodcast AF Episode 304: SDCC ’26. The reveals are in… and the verdict isn’t pretty.
