Are You Sure Your Faith Is Real? | Acts 8:4-25

In Acts 8:4–25, Philip brings the gospel to Samaria, where many people place their faith in Jesus—including Simon the sorcerer. But Simon’s response reveals a sobering truth: it is possible to be around the things of God, say the right words, and still have a heart that is not right before Him.

This message challenges us to look beyond outward religion, spiritual experiences, and simply going through the motions.

Are we pursuing Jesus Himself, or are we pursuing power, recognition, comfort, or what God can do for us?

As we study Philip, Simon, Peter, and John, we will see the difference between a counterfeit faith and a genuine relationship with Christ. We’ll also be reminded to test every message against God’s Word, repent when our hearts drift, and abide in Jesus.
