In this episode of Still Listening, Rob Cook sits down with his younger brother, Chris Cook — now stepping into the voice of Lorenzo — for a first-time listen to the finished tracks from their creative collaboration.
What begins as a playback becomes something deeper: two brothers hearing the work come alive, reflecting on the story behind the sound, and witnessing what happens when trust, timing, memory, and music meet in the room.
This is not just an interview. It is a first listen. A brotherhood moment. A creative reveal. And the sound of two creators recognizing what they built together.

In recognition of Men's Mental Health Month, Rob Cook explores the connection between PTSD, psychological safety, human connection, and the growing role of artificial intelligence in our lives.
Through personal experiences, lessons learned from trauma, insights from the world's first chatbot ELIZA, and conversations surrounding AI and human potential, this episode examines a powerful question:
What changes when people finally feel safe enough to be heard?
Discover how psychological safety impacts mental health, why so many men struggle in silence, what PTSD taught Rob about resilience and healing, and why the greatest intelligence in the room may still be the human being.
Whether you're navigating stress, trauma, burnout, or anxiety, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself and others, this conversation offers a thoughtful perspective on what it means to be fully human in the age of AI.

The Greatest Intelligence in the Room Will Always Be the Human
For years, we've been told that artificial intelligence is the future. Some celebrate it. Others fear it. Most are simply trying to figure out where they fit in a world that seems to be changing faster than ever.
In this episode, Rob Cook explores a simple but powerful truth:
The greatest intelligence in the room isn't artificial.
It's human.
As AI continues to transform business, healthcare, education, creativity, and everyday life, one question matters more than any other: What makes us uniquely human?
This conversation introduces AHI — Authentically Human Intelligence — a framework for understanding the qualities no technology can replace: awareness, wisdom, discernment, creativity, compassion, love, and the ability to choose.
Rather than viewing AI through the lens of fear or blind optimism, Rob offers a different perspective. Technology has always changed the way we live. What determines whether that change serves humanity has never been the tool itself. It has always been the human being using it.
If you've ever wondered where you fit in the age of AI, felt overwhelmed by the headlines, or questioned what the future holds, this episode is for you.
Because before there was Artificial Intelligence, there was Authentic Intelligence.
And remembering that may be one of the most important conversations of our time.

There’s something powerful that happens when a person finally gives themselves permission to create.
In this special episode of Still Listening, Rob opens up about the unexpected journey behind Bobbie the Artist — and how what started as music, visuals, and digital storytelling slowly became something much deeper. Bobbie wasn’t just a character or a brand. He became a mirror. A reflection of passion, healing, imagination, and freedom.
Through creating Bobbie, Rob found himself reconnecting with parts of life he thought were gone — joy, creativity, curiosity, and purpose. What began as “just making art” turned into a new direction for his life. A reminder that sometimes purpose doesn’t arrive through pressure… it shows up while you’re doing something you genuinely love.
This episode is about transformation through creation. About how technology, music, storytelling, and expression helped unlock a new vision for the future — not just professionally, but personally and spiritually too.
A conversation about identity, healing, reinvention, and what can happen when you stop trying to survive life… and finally start living it.

In this heartfelt conversation, Rob sits down with mayoral candidate Ami Chen Mills to explore something often missing from modern leadership — genuine human connection.
More than policies or political talking points, this episode dives into the deeper purpose behind service, community, and what happens when someone truly cares about the people they lead. Ami shares the experiences, values, and vision shaping her commitment to Santa Cruz, revealing a leadership style grounded in compassion, listening, presence, and love for community.
It's a conversation about humanity. About restoring heart to leadership. About remembering that communities thrive when people feel seen, heard, and cared for.
If you've ever wondered what authentic leadership looks like in today's world, this conversation is for you.

In this episode, The Power of Simple: Where High Performance Meets Presence, Janet Rhynie—strategic advisor, transformation leader, and trusted voice in organizational culture—brings us back to what actually works.
With over 20 years of experience guiding leaders, teams, and organizations through real cultural transformation, Janet shares a perspective that cuts through the noise.

In this episode of Still Listening, I flipped the script. After watching a real interaction between a U.S. Senator and an AI system, something stood out to me—not the information, but the interaction itself. The presence. The rhythm. In many ways, the conversation felt real.
So I turned to my own AI assistant—Coach Robbie—and gave it one job:
Act as a podcast host.
Ask the kind of questions that would reveal three things:
Who am I?
What I’m building.
Why do I do it?
What came back were 10 questions—direct, intentional, and unexpectedly better than I thought they would be from him. I answer each one.
No script. Just a real reflection on purpose, pressure, identity, and what it means to live fully.
If you’ve ever wondered:
What actually drives someone beyond success?
What it sounds like when someone slows down enough to really answer…
This episode is for you.

We’ve never had more tools, resources, and mental health support…
yet more people than ever feel overwhelmed, anxious, and stuck.
So what’s missing?
In this episode of Still Listening, Stewart Iskowitz and Wendy Williams explore what might be the biggest misunderstanding in mental health—and why real change doesn’t come from adding more strategies, but from seeing something deeper.
Through their work with the New York Peace Project, they point to a powerful truth:
peace isn’t something you create—it’s something you uncover.
Instead of trying to fix people or solve problems at the surface level, their approach helps individuals reconnect to what’s already within them—clarity, resilience, and an innate sense of well-being that has never been lost.

What if the way we’ve been taught to understand mental health… is actually keeping us stuck?
In this episode of Still Listening, Jeanne shares a powerful conversation that challenges one of the biggest misunderstandings in mental health today—the belief that our experiences are created by what happens to us, instead of what’s happening within us.
So many people are trying to fix themselves… manage symptoms… or control their environment—yet still feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected.
But what if nothing is actually broken?
Drawing from lived experience and a deeper understanding of how the mind works, this episode explores how trauma, stress, and emotional pain are often misunderstood—and how a shift in perspective can unlock a sense of peace that isn’t dependent on circumstances.
Because when you see how your mind actually works…everything begins to change.

This episode is a reset. Before we step into the next chapter of the show, I wanted to pause, reflect, and speak directly to the community that helped build this space.
From the very beginning of We're Listening, the goal was simple: create conversations where people feel heard, understood, and connected. Because of you—the listeners, the supporters, and the voices who shared their stories—that vision became a real community.
So first, thank you. But growth always invites evolution.
In this episode, I'm sharing a little about the journey behind the mic and where we're headed next. Think of this as an open invitation to come along for the next phase of the show.
The mic is still on.
The conversations are just beginning.

If you're listening right now, you're exactly where you're supposed to be — the starting point. This episode is intentionally short. Just two minutes. No long backstory, no wasted time. Just enough for you to decide if this space is for you. Ground Zero is where conversations begin. Real ones. The kind that makes you pause, think differently, and maybe even see yourself in a new light.
- Sometimes we talk about growth.
- Sometimes leadership.
- Sometimes healing, purpose, or the lessons life teaches us come when we least expect them.
But every episode starts from the same place — awareness. Because before anything changes in life… there's always a moment where something clicks. A realization. A new way of seeing things. That moment is a ground zero moment, and it's what Still Listening is all about.
So if what you hear resonates with you, go ahead and subscribe and stick around. The real conversation starts next.
