Trust Over Skill: Casting Your Nets | When God Says Try Again

What happens when your experience says, “It won’t work,” but God says, “Cast your net again”?

In this message, we explore the powerful connection between Luke 5:3–11 and John 21:2–14, where experienced fishermen found themselves facing empty nets—but everything changed when they trusted the word of Jesus.

Peter and the disciples had the skill. They had the experience. They knew how to fish. But their expertise could not produce what only obedience and trust could unlock.

Sometimes God will ask you to do something that doesn't make sense based on what you've experienced before. He may tell you to cast your net again, go deeper, try again, or move in a direction that requires you to trust Him more than you trust your own ability.

Your skill is useful—but your trust in God is essential.

“Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,” says the LORD of hosts.

Good Works vs. Grace

Are you trusting in your good works—or in the grace of God?

When loyalty, access, favor, blessings, or opportunities become dependent on what you give or do for a leader—PAY ATTENTION.

🚩 EMOTIONAL ENTANGLEMENT.

You should not become emotionally responsible for a spiritual leader’s approval, feelings, happiness, or personal needs.

🚩 GROOMING DIRECTS YOU BACK TO THE ABUSIVE LEADER—not JESUS.

Healthy leadership points you to Christ. Manipulation makes you dependent on the leader.

🚩 LYING, SIGNS & WONDERS.

Never allow supernatural claims, prophecy, or spiritual experiences to replace biblical discernment.

🚩 CELEBRITY LEADERSHIP.

When the personality, platform, or leader becomes more exalted than Jesus, something is wrong.

🚩 SEXUAL SIN + SPIRITUAL MANIPULATION.

Never allow someone to use “God told me,” prophecy, spiritual authority, or a divine assignment to justify sexual sin, coercion, or the violation of your boundaries.

WHAT DO YOU SEE? 👀 Speak Whatever God Commands.

God asked Jeremiah, "What do you see?" Before God sent him to speak, He first challenged his vision. We cannot speak God's truth if we are only looking through the lens of fear, doubt, or our circumstances.

God is looking for believers who will faithfully declare His Word, not their emotions or popular opinion.

The Canaanite woman refused to let discouragement silence her faith. She remained humble, persistent, and focused on Jesus until she received her miracle.

At the same time, Romans warns us of the danger of rejecting God's truth. When we continually ignore His Word, our thinking becomes corrupted. That is why we must renew our minds daily with Scripture.

Don't speak what you see in the natural. Speak what God has spoken.

GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION | A Biblical Warning About Who You Walk With

Who we choose to align ourselves with matters more than many realize. The Bible repeatedly warns that our relationships, partnerships, and associations can influence our beliefs, character, and spiritual direction. In this message, we examine the biblical principle of being "guilty by association" and why God calls His people to exercise wisdom and discernment concerning those they walk closely with.

Amos 3:3 asks, "Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?" Agreement is more than proximity—it is alignment of values, beliefs, and purpose.

1 Corinthians 15:33 warns us, "Do not be deceived: 'Evil company corrupts good habits.'" The people we consistently fellowship with can either strengthen our faith or gradually lead us away from God's truth.

THE TRUTH ABOUT THE WEALTH TRANSFER

In a season where many voices are speaking about wealth transfer, believers must ask a simple question:

Did God really say it?

The Word of God warns us against speaking presumptuously in His name. In 1 Kings 13, a prophet who had genuinely heard from God was deceived by another prophet who claimed to have received a new word from an angel. The lesson is clear: not every prophetic voice is speaking the truth, even when they sound spiritual.

God does not need us to exaggerate His promises or create narratives He never spoke. He is faithful to perform what He has actually said.

📖 Numbers 23:19 (NKJV)

"God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?"

Our responsibility is not to chase every prophecy, but to remain faithful to God's Word. The Lord honors those who speak His Word faithfully, not those who add to it.

Be careful of voices that promise what Scripture does not. Test every spirit. Search the Word. Follow God above every trend, every prediction, and every personality.

God's Word is enough. His promises are sure. His voice is trustworthy.

Not everyone who speaks in the name of Jesus is speaking for Jesus.

The Apostle Paul warned that false apostles and deceitful workers would disguise themselves as ministers of righteousness, just as Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.

Many are not rejecting Jesus outright—they are accepting another Jesus, another spirit, and another gospel.

Not every voice speaking into your life is sent by God.

The enemy knows that if he can control what you hear, he can influence what you believe. That's why we must guard our ears and learn to discern the voice of the Lord above the noise, opinions, fears, and distractions of this world.

Jesus taught that some people hear but do not understand (Mark 4:12), while others are blessed because their ears are open to truth (Matthew 13:16-17).

The missing ingredient is knowing God’s ways. 🔥

Many want God’s promises, but few seek to understand His nature, His timing, and His ways.

📖 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. — Isaiah 55:8-9

Israel saw God’s acts, but Moses knew His ways. (Psalm 103:7) There is a difference between witnessing miracles and walking in intimacy with God.

Hebrews 3:10 reveals that people can go astray simply because they do not know His ways. And Proverbs 16:25 reminds us that what “seems right” to man can still lead to destruction.

God’s ways require trust.

God’s ways require surrender.

God’s ways require discernment.

Stop chasing what looks right and start seeking the mind of God. His ways are higher, wiser, and eternal. 🙏🏽

Quenching Every Fiery Dart in Real Time 🔥

Not every attack comes looking obvious. Some fiery darts come as fear, anxiety, offense, confusion, temptation, distraction, or negative thoughts sent to pull you out of position.

The key is learning how to respond in real time.

God did not call us to wait until after the damage is done to use our authority. He gave us the shield of faith to extinguish every fiery dart as it comes.

Faith is your defense. The Word is your response. Discernment is your protection.
