Do vegetarians need meat for protein? Not true.

In this Day 17 - Part 2 episode, we continue rethinking one of the biggest food myths: that protein only comes from meat.

Today we’re looking at more plant-based protein sources, including chia seeds, oats, walnuts, hazelnuts, lentils, chickpeas, black beans, kidney beans, pecans, quinoa, macadamia nuts, spinach, broccoli, and Brussels sprouts.

This conversation is not about judging anyone’s plate. It’s about learning that nourishment can come in many forms. Seeds, nuts, legumes, grains, and vegetables can all play a part in building a filling, colorful, nourishing plant-based meal.

Some foods bring more protein. Some bring fiber. Some bring healthy fats. Some bring vitamins and minerals. But together, they remind us that plant-based eating is not empty, weak, or boring.

Today’s reflection:

What plant-based protein could you add to your plate this week that you may have been overlooking?
