A Conversation with Rose Cora Perry (Warrior Women Toronto)

Episode 336

50m | Sep 29, 2026

This week on the show, we’re joined by dynamic Canadian rocker Rose Cora Perry!

Rose drops by to talk about her powerful mission project, Warrior Women—a groundbreaking initiative uniting 24 female-fronted bands across 6 cities for 1 cause: raising awareness around domestic violence and generating essential funds for Yellow Brick House, an organization providing free, accessible resources to those escaping abuse.

What We Cover:

Musical Roots: Paying homage to the iconic Queen Alanis Morissette and exploring Rose's personal influences.
Band Dynamics: What it's like serving as one of two feminine energy forces in her band, The Truth Untold.
Life on the Road: The critical importance of self-care while touring and navigating the music industry.
Songwriting & Purpose: Writing from authentic lived experiences and how personal stories fuel a larger mission.
Industry Realities: Navigating the male-dominated music space and using art to spark a powerful ripple effect when the world feels overwhelming.
Community & Connection: Finding your people, building solidarity, and sharing a mutual love of live music from the perspective of both fan and artist.

Rose also walks us through the eclectic lineup for the upcoming Toronto stop of the tour—happening October 3rd at The Painted Lady (a perfectly on-brand setting for an unforgettable evening!)
