Welcome to this week's episode of "The Literary Lounge," where we dive into the world of books and explore their themes and ideas. Today, we are discussing The Measure by Nikki Erlick. This story focuses on a handful of characters that one day discover boxes on their doorstep that contain a single piece of string. They soon discover its length reveals how long they will live. 

Riddled with anxiety or relief, each character makes certain choices depending on how long they are expected to live. While discussing each of these scenarios, we also put ourselves in these characters’ shoes and debate whether we would’ve opened the all-revealing box.
