Monster Trout, Cobia and Spearfishing in the Louisiana Delta

Capt. Jimmy Corley explains why some of the biggest trout of the summer have moved into deeper, cooler water around the islands outside Shell Beach. He covers fishing croakers on Carolina rigs along 10- to 15-foot shelves, throwing Matrix Shad closer to the beach, and why cleaner water, higher salinity, abundant bait, and relatively calm weather have helped keep the trout bite strong through August. Jimmy also discusses targeting redfish around deeper drains and rigs, picking the right tide for long offshore runs, and the importance of leaving early and using radar when traveling in the dark.
