When Relationships Change: Finding Peace

13m | Aug 17, 2026

This week I’m having a conversation that I know so many people need to hear. Grief has a way of revealing the losses nobody prepares us for the friendships that change, the family dynamics that shift, the identity we once held onto, and the version of ourselves we’re forced to leave behind. I’m talking about what happens when people try to define you by their own perception of who they think you are. I’m exploring what it really means to take the high road, protect your peace, and still honor the hurt that comes with being misunderstood. Sometimes letting go doesn’t mean you stopped loving someone. Sometimes it means you finally love yourself enough to stop fighting for a place where you no longer feel seen, valued, or respected. In this episode, I’m diving into secondary grief, the invisible losses that come after losing someone, and the painful but powerful journey of discovering who you are when life changes the story you thought you were living. Because healing isn’t always about forgetting. Sometimes healing is learning how to carry love differently. You can continue loving someone and still continue living.
