Purple Noise for Sleep & Tinnitus Relief
10m | Jul 3, 2026Purple noise for sleep is one of the most underrated sounds you can
use to fall asleep faster, block out distractions, and wake up feeling
more rested.
Purple noise (also called violet noise) sits at the higher end of the
frequency spectrum compared to white, pink, brown, or green noise.
That higher frequency emphasis makes it particularly effective for
tinnitus relief, since it can help mask the ringing or buzzing that
makes it hard to fall asleep. It also works well for deep focus and
meditation, especially if you find brown or pink noise too heavy.
How to use it:
— Put it on as you wind down or the moment you get into bed
— Use headphones or a Bluetooth speaker for best results
— Pair it with a sleep timer if you don't want it running all night
— If you have tinnitus, try adjusting your volume until the masking
feels comfortable — lower is usually better
This video is part of the Purple Noise Remixes series. If you're
new here, give it a listen and see how it compares to the other noise
colors on the channel. Some people switch from white noise or green
noise and never go back.
