In this final episode, the experience of a Malaysian-born Chinese man named Tim is explored, as he struggles with finding gifts for his girlfriend’s extremely cultural parents, hailing all the way from China. Every gift he finds, seems to have certain taboos connected to them. He has to overcome them, or his relationship may very well be over. This narrative is then followed by a brief discussion by the narrator, explaining each taboo connected to the gifts chosen by Tim, and their importance in Chinese culture.

This episode describes the story of a young Thai girl, going about her everyday life following the strict habitual taboos and superstitions laid out by her late grandmother, until one day, her beliefs are turned upside down. The narrative is then followed by a brief discussion, unearthing the history behind these Thai habitual taboos and exploring its shared routes and roots.

This episode describes the struggle of a mother of three, held back by the taboos of her past. They come back to haunt her in the form of her mother’s ghost, as she goes out into the depths of the night, which is taboo to women who have recently given birth. Following the narrative is a discussion surrounding postpartum taboos, and the history behind them, and lastly, what it all means, especially to our main character in the narrative.

This episode described the struggle of a young Indian man, torn between the roots of his past and his present. One of his friends invites him to a high-class restaurant, and he has to decide whether or not to commit taboo by either using his hands, or…utensils.
